Kathy Blachowski

Program Manager

Kathy Blachowski is the Program Manager for the Big Cat Sanctuary Alliance. She lives in Connecticut with her husband, twin daughters, and her rescued domestic cats. Kathy graduated in 2002 with honors in Environmental Science, and a minor in English, from the Muhlenberg Scholars program at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Although her degree is in Environmental Science, Kathy’s passion has always been for animal welfare and rescue. In 2004, she founded the Coalition of Animal Rescue Organizations of Rochester, New York, to fulfill a desire to maintain her volunteer experience in the animal rescue community as well as to fill a need in the community for more collaborative efforts in animal rescue and welfare. Kathy comes to BCSA with many years of experience working at non-profit organizations including the Genesee Land Trust, Connecticut Land Conservation Council, and the Middlesex Land Trust.

As BCSA’s Program Manager, Kathy looks forward to continuing to build upon the many collaborative programs that the Big Cat Sanctuary Alliance has developed since being founded in 2017. If you have any questions regarding BCSA or our programs, please contact Kathy at kblachowski@bigcatalliance.org.
