Boy mauled to death by leopard – Times of India

JAIPUR: A 12-year-old boy was mauled to death by a leopard in Sita Mata Wildlife Sanctuary in Pratapgarh on Tuesday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Raju resident of Kheli village situated inside the sanctuary. The body was found around 500 metre near his house with the head severed and multiple bite marks.
Assistant conservator of forest (ACF) Anil Yadav said, “The boy had gone to graze his cow. After a while when the boy did not return, the panicked family members alerted villagers, who launched a frantic search. The mutilated body was found around 500 metres from the house.” As per the preliminary investigation, the boy died due to severe loss of blood as the big cat dragged him by the neck for 500 meters. tnn
