Horror as live donkey fed to hungry tigers in front of screaming families

This is the horrifying moment a donkey was shoved into a tiger enclosure and eaten alive.

The terrified animal was ripped apart by four huge predators in front of screaming families at a Chinese zoo on Sunday.

A disgruntled shareholder ordered the donkey’s savage death at the Yancheng Wild Animal World after becoming disgruntled over the zoo’s recent money problems.

Footage of the nightmare incident shows the petrified animal clinging on for dear life after being loaded from a truck a group of men.

Tourists are heard yelling “no they wouldn’t” as the men carry out their orders and shove the poor donkey into a moat in the tiger cage.

It desperately tries to swim away, but the animals bite its neck and drag it under with their claws, shou.com reports.

The animal suffered for more than an hour before it was eventually killed by the tigers.

Members of the public initially thought the popular zoo in Yancheng City, Jiangsu, had carried out the sick stunt, but the facility claims it was not their staff who did it.

A zoo spokesman said one of their shareholders ordered the sick stunt after becoming dissatisfied with the company’s debt.

He stormed into the zoo after a local court ruled the park’s assets must be frozen.

Employees said the shareholder turned up that morning and attempted to remove several of the animals so they could be sold for cash.

But when staff stopped him leaving he ordered his team to drive the animals to the tiger enclosure and tossed the donkey into the water.

Pictures taken from the scene show that the small lorry was also carrying what appears to be a goat, which was not fed to the predatory big cats.

The shareholder has reportedly since been “calmed down” and they are investigating the incident.
